what is Limmud?

Limmud is a celebration of Jewish culture, creativity and learning like no other.
It is based on the idea that everyone should be a student and anyone can be a teacher. Limmud is a global community committed to a unique combination of principles and values including learning, teaching, volunteerism, diversity and respect.  At Limmud there is room for every subject – art, spirituality, philosophy, music, food and more.

Limmud was started 30 years ago, but has been adopted in over 80 communities around the world and draws thousands of new participants each year.
In our program, we aim to give you the opportunity to delve deeper into the topics which interest you most, as well as explore those which are new to you. Another important aspect of Limmud Wien is the chance to meet a diverse group of people, those similar to you and also those from very dierent backgrounds.

Everyone is accepted at Limmud and all are encouraged to have a voice and share their ideas. The programs consist of a combination of talks by experts, lectures, discussions, workshops, musical and art entertainment and many other activities.

Our event in Vienna promises to be a great one with over 20 different presentations and workshops.

Please remember that although Limmud is an event run completely by volunteers, we do have operational expenses, and Limmud cannot continue without YOUR financial support.
